I can’t emphasize it enough, things are really picking up for Houston real estate market, especially with regards to the relocation business. In the last couple of weeks, my company, John Daugherty, Realtors, has been selected as the broker of choice to handle not one, but two group moves. Both of these are involving both domestic and International moves of transferees to the Houston area. We are definitely starting to ramp back up!
Yesterday, which was Good Friday, traditionally a semi-quiet day for business, was anything but quiet. Although I was out of the office, relocation referrals were coming in, agents notified me of contracts that they were writing and transferees were eager to meet with agents despite the long holiday weekend.
Business may be a little slow right now in terms of our real estate market, but mark my words, with all of the relocation activity taking place, the buzz about the Houston economy and housing market in contrast to other parts of the country, it will come back, and with a vengeance!
