You could not have asked for better weather in Houston on Sunday, May 2nd. The sun was was shining bright and the sky was a gorgeous blue as Houstonians quenched their thirst in support of Lemonade Day. As a sponsor of Lemonade Day, members of John Daugherty Realtors showed up in great number at one of the lemonade stands located at 5104 Pine, listed by Lisa Kornhauser. John A. Daugherty, Jr., president of John Daugherty, Realtors said: “It’s been heartwarming to see our family of sales associates, staff and management join together to support this very important event.”
Lemonade Day is a fun, annual city-wide event that introduces kids to entrepreneurship. It encourages kids to start a lemonade stand and sell lemonade to the entire community. Through the program, kid learn to start, own and operate their own business. Kids of all ages can participate and learn to set goals, develop a business plan, establish a budget, seek investors, provide customer service, and give back to their community. Schools, community groups, businesses and individuals get involved in order to make it all happen.
The main attraction was former Houston Astros First Baseman, Jeff Bagwell, who graciously posed for photographs, signed autographs and purchased lemonade at the event.
